1974: A small group of employees embarked on a pioneering journey to establish the first privately-owned lubricants manufacturer in Venezuela, known as Puramin. This remarkable endeavor was made possible through a groundbreaking technological partnership with Creole Petroleum Corporation, a subsidiary of Standard Oil NJ.

1974 – 2000: Puramin dedicated itself to the production of an extensive range of high-quality products. These offerings included white oils, dielectric transformer oil, a diverse array of industrial goods, and a comprehensive line of lubricants, all meticulously crafted to cater to the needs of the local market.

1997: UltraGroup achieved a significant milestone by becoming the national distributor of Castrol Motor Oils. Three years later, we made an even more remarkable transition by switching our focus to Pennzoil and Quaker State, solidifying our presence in the industry.

2000-2007: Our now 22-year-old joint venture, Puramin-UltraGroup, was created and licensed to manufacture Pennzoil, Quaker State, BP, Castrol, Shell, Texaco, and Valvoline products for the northern region of South America. For seven years, we blended and filled their products. To meet the demands of newer generation SAE/API specifications, we developed long-term sourcing relationships with refineries and additive producers in the U.S.A.

2004: We proudly introduced our exceptional premium quality oil brand, Ultra1Plus™, initially under the name UltraLub, in select markets. Over time, our remarkable product has gained widespread recognition and is now available in a total of 14 vibrant countries across the beautiful regions of South America and the enchanting Caribbean.

2007: The company dedicated all its resources and attention to a singular, powerful goal: enhancing and promoting the Ultra1Plus™ brand. This strategic decision marked a pivotal turning point in the company's history, as it committed itself wholeheartedly to the growth and development of Ultra1Plus™. This unwavering focus allowed us to channel our innovation, marketing, and research efforts towards perfecting and expanding the Ultra1Plus™ brand, ultimately leading to significant advancements and a strengthened market presence for this flagship product.

2009: A significant milestone was achieved with the introduction of our innovative "Nothing to Hide" PET bottle. This groundbreaking development not only symbolized our commitment to transparency but also revolutionized the packaging industry. The clear PET bottle offered consumers a direct view of the product within, eliminating any doubts or suspicions, and promoting a sense of trust and integrity. This groundbreaking packaging solution reflected our dedication to not just delivering quality products but also to fostering a relationship of openness and honesty with our customers.

2012: a devastating fire broke out at the nearby PDVSA Amuay refinery, sending shockwaves through the entire community and having a profound impact on our Puramin factory. The fire not only disrupted our operations but also caused significant damage to our facilities, leaving us with the formidable task of rebuilding the factory from the ground up, brick by brick. Yet, in the face of adversity, we persevered, and by late 2012, we had successfully resurrected our Puramin factory. This event made us purchase a second manufacturing facility in Miranda, Venezuela. This strategic move not only bolstered our production capacity but also ensured that we could continue to meet the needs of our customers

2017: Ultra1Plus™ embarked on an ambitious journey, marking its foray into the U.S. market. This pivotal step marked the beginning of a transformative era for the company, as it gradually shifted its operations to the vibrant city of Houston, Texas. This strategic relocation brought with it a multitude of advantages, including access to a robust talent pool, proximity to key industry players, and a favorable business environment. Houston, known for its dynamic and diverse business landscape, offered Ultra1Plus™ an ideal backdrop for its growth and expansion plans. With a finger on the pulse of innovation and an eye on the horizon, the company's decision to make Houston its home base set the stage for exciting developments in the years to come.

2019: Ultra1Plus™ has grown significantly in the domestic market and beyond. Our expansion into Canada and Mexico has been a testament to our dedication to providing top-quality products and services to a broader audience. While we have solidified our presence in our home country, the extension of our operations into these neighboring nations reflects our commitment to delivering excellence on an international scale. 2021: Ultra1Plus™ successfully completed the installation of our strategically positioned, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, located in close proximity to the refineries at the bustling Port of Houston. Additionally, we have established an extensive distribution center in the sunny state of Florida. Leveraging our unwavering commitment to "Made in the USA" production, we are delighted to report that our exports have shown remarkable growth, reaching an impressive 32 countries worldwide. This outstanding achievement has not gone unnoticed, as we proudly received the prestigious "Exporters of the Year 2021" award from none other than the esteemed Small Business Administration.
